Judy DeGan -Pottery

Judy is a functional potter seen at many local shows such as Broadripple Art Fair and Penrod for the last fifteen years.  Always interested in art and ceramics, she finally was able to take classes at the Indianapolis Art Center twenty years ago and never stopped.  She currently teaches classes for both teens and adults at IAC.
She works primarily in stoneware and enjoys creating pieces meant to be used everyday.  Never content to throw a large number of multiple pieces, each kiln is an eclectic mix of forms.  Her glazed palette is the organic colors associated with gas reduction firing.
She lives in Carmel with her husband, Larry, and is the mother of four children - and a new grandma.
