Ken Rabbers - Photography

I began photography as a hobby in the early 1970's using Canon SLR film cameras and lenses.  Over the years, I expanded my equipment and honed my photographic skills and capabilities.  Eventually I changed with the times and converted to digital photography which has provided me with new avenues to explore my photographic and artistic expressions.

Working in both color and black and white, my concentration is nature and landscapes, but I also enjoy photographing architectural and motor sports.  Most of my images have very moderate developing touches, while some are more developed to fully express the definition, detail, and drama that my mind sees.

When looking either through the lens of the camera or the naked eye, each individual had a unique perspective in which their mind processes common objects, colors, shapes, textures, views, and vistas.  Not everyone sees the same details, color, and shading; some things are not seen at all.  The images in my exhibits and on my website are a representation of what my eyes see, my camera captures, and my mind interprets.

I have come to very much enjoy what I do with a  camera and continue to explore new and unique ways in which to express myself.
