Unique Artisans . . . Unique Artwork

Janet Webb

I’m a one-woman studio based in Marion Indiana. Most of my time in my studio is spent creating or envisioning what I want to create, I build each piece of jewelry by hand with the finest of materials. I love working with sterling silver and I like to add color with vitreous enamel which is finely ground glass that is fused to metal in a kiln at 1400°.
I began my metalsmithing journey at Arrowmont School of Art and Crafts. At that time silver was under $5 an ounce which I’m grateful for because it gave me the freedom to explore and experiment and not be afraid because of the cost of materials. I continued to travel and study with professional Metalsmiths and Enamelists at different schools taking classes and workshops to learn as much as I possibly could. I feel I have a great foundation and understanding of my Art. If only I could get over my tool addiction 😊
